Where can I get Poster Frame Hanging Hardware Kits?

What hardware is included in a hanging hardware kit?

  • (2) 10' chains that can be easily shortened by de-linking with pliers
  • (2) folding white ceiling hooks that attach to standard track ceiling
  • (4) "S" hooks for interconnecting chains, hooks, and poster frame display
  • (1) direction sheet

    What material is the poster frame made out of?
    It really depends on what model or sku number poster frame you buy.

    "CH" and "WMPH" series plastic frames are made from premium grade "non glare acrylic". Acrylic is the generic name, with brand names such as plexiglass, Lucite, acrylite. We use a "non-glare" acrylic versus a true clear picture frame acrylic, as it eliminates excessive glare when viewing posters from a distance. The non-glare is fabricated with a very subtle matte frosting on the surface of the acrylic, but designed so that fine print can still be read clearly. One caveat is that your poster must be tucked right up to the under-side of the glass for the system to work, if there is a large space (air gap) between the inside of the acrylic and your poster… some clarity can be lost. This is not an issue with our "CH" and "WMPH" series as these units are fabricated with front and back panels of the poster frame flush to each other.

    FLPD series is a black aluminum picture frame, clear acrylic (not non-glare per CH & WMPH series) and foamboard backing, with aluminum mounting brackets. CF2228- cheap poster frame has plastic styrene perimeter frame, plastic vinyl .030 thick (1/32") clear lens, and a plastic styrene corrugated backboard with two hanging clips. PFSW series has a black or gold aluminum picture frame, clear acrylic (not non-glare per CH & WMPH series) and foam board backing, with aluminum mounting brackets.

    Can we get a custom size?

    Custom sizes can be fabricated for most styles, however a minimum quantity is needed to justify the set-up costs associated with fabrication. As a general rule, all print display models would require at least a 25 unit quantity as a pre-requisite for custom sized runs.

    Can we get glass instead of acrylic?
    No, we only fabricate with acrylic which historically has proven to be a good medium for post, print and picture framing. True glass would be more expensive, higher breakage factor during shipping, and more product liability for the end user.

    Is the clear acrylic scratch resistant?
    No, we use picture framing grade acrylic. This material will scratch with miss-handling, but once installed and not susceptible to miss-handling it should last for many years. In the industry there is a "scratch resistant" or "abrasion resistant" acrylic available. This product is more than twice the cost of standard picture holder grade acrylic and it is very difficult to process (for example, cannot be bended or bonded). Its primary use are for counter or writing surfaces that comes in contact with many objects.

    Is there a warranty on your frames?
    All of Displays2go products are warranted for quality craftsmanship and defective materials. This, however, excludes breakage from miss-handling by the customer.

    How thick can our graphic be?

    It depends on the model or sku# :

    For "CH" or "WMPH" models with flush front and back acrylic surfaces, we recommend keeping the print (or prints if back to back) to no thicker than 1/16" in aggregate (.060).

    For swinging holders "FLPD" and "PFSW" there is more tolerance and prints up to 1/8" thick (.125) can easily be accommodated.

    "CF" series products can accept prints up to 1/16" thick (.060)

    Do we need these professionally installed?

    Installation should always be done by a professional or crafts-person. You should align your brackets on the wall horizontally with a level tool to make sure your installation is level. Pre-drilling of anchor holes, insertion of plastic anchors and final screw insertion are necessary. Ladders for ceiling hanging. Most installations for most products can be done in 3 to 4 minutes per unit.
